Darragh is a Galway native and a law graduate of the National University of Ireland, Galway. He was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 2010.
Darragh practices exclusively in the areas of litigation and dispute resolution, with a particular interest in insurance defence litigation. He represents the interests of a number of domestic and international insurers, loss adjusters, brokers and self-insured entities.
He also has a substantial plaintiff personal injury litigation practice and has been involved in prosecuting some of the most significant cases in this area in the West of Ireland, over the past decade.
His practice encompasses, road traffic, public liability, employers liability, product liability, fatal injuries, medical negligence, toxic torts, in addition to coverage and indemnity issues.
Darragh frequently lectures on insurance law and practice to professional bodies and has advised extensively and drafted submissions on reform of the Irish legal system.
Prior to joining MacSweeney & Company, Darragh worked in-house with one of the country’s leading insurers.
