Philip obtained a first class honours Bachelor of Civil Law Degree from University College Cork. He also holds a Diploma in Applied Finance Law from the Law Society of Ireland.
Philip also studied for a period in the prestigious University of LUISS in Rome where he was awarded an Intensive Programme Diploma in Commercial Contracts.
A native of Galway, Philip trained as a solicitor in a prominent Dublin commercial law firm, where he also worked as a solicitor after qualifying. There he practiced in the areas of commercial and corporate law, and acted in a number of high profile transactions.
Philip has also worked in the Legal and Investment Services Division of Enterprise Ireland. There he was responsible for providing legal advice across a number of areas, as well as providing regular legal training seminars to staff.
He currently specialises in commercial, insolvency and commercial litigation matters.
